Heritage Farm Park

Heritage Farm Park
Heritage Farm Park is the Town of Oak Ridge's most recent land acquisition and is located at 8515 Scoggins Road.
Heritage Farm Park, named in recognition of the rich agrarian roots of Oak Ridge, boasts 60 acres of mixed woodland and farmland seamlessly laced into areas providing recreational amenities and facilities. The perimeter of the site will remain an active farmland, and the original garage remains standing proudly on the property.

With parking, paved walking trails, an inclusive playground, lighted multipurpose fields, restrooms and picnic shelters, Heritage Farm Park is a work in progress phasing in additional sports courts for the future. The park's development was partially funded by an NC Parks and Recreation Trust Fund (PARTF) matching grant to help defray construction costs. Also on site will be the Veterans Honor Green, a memorial dedicated to honoring members of our nation's military forces. This memorial is being funded by generous donations with matching funds from the Town of Oak Ridge. The Honor Green is scheduled to be completed in fall 2024.

Most of this approximately 60-acre site was purchased from long time Oak Ridge residents Frank and Claudia Whitaker.
